- Due jeudi: Find one news article in French about a recent (since 1 janvier 2012) natural phenomenon.
- Due jeudi: Put a link to that article on the Shared Google Doc.
- Due jeudi: Transcribe (rewrite on a separate sheet) and translate at least the first 200 words of your article. Use the column format: français à gauche, anglais à droite.
- Due lundi: Prepare a TV news version of this news report! Prepare a slide show that includes at the very least a map (with French labels!) of where the phenomenon happened, plus 60 seconds of you oral reportage (in French) of the event!
[30 minutes] Verb Tense/Vocab Practice!
- Each student writes a six-sentence account of some disaster using our current vocab.
- Write this account in the past tense; then revise it to sound like a prediction of the future—i.e., put that story in the future tense!

- Students work on presentations for next time.
Les Devoirs: Prepare a TV news version of the disaster/natural phenomenon news report you transcribed and translated for today! Prepare a slide show that includes at the very least a map (with French labels!) of where the phenomenon happened, plus 60 seconds of you oral reportage (in French) of the event! No need to memorize; scripts allowed. But do not simply read from the French article you found online; write your own text in French!
