- Work in pairs or trios.
- Prepare an ad for any kind of TV program (a series, soap opera, documentary, news program, whatever!).
- Tell viewers what the show is about, why they must watch!
- Include "clips" or "scenes" from the show.
- Props are welcome but not required.
- At least five sentences from each player are required!
- Use this chapter's vocab!
- Present live in class during second half of period Thursday!
- Each student picks a verb and conjugates it in the present tense and in the past tense!
- Also translate each of the following sentences:
- I am going to the library.
- I went to the library.
- We have five books.
- Did y'all have a book?
- We are brushing our teeth.
- The girls brushed their teeth.
- After ten minutes, we put these verbs and sentences au tableau!
- Practice out loud!
- Students present (notes allowed)
- After each presentation, students in previous skit pose questions en français to the present skitters! (Last skit asks first skitters questions.)
[30 minutes] Grammar Practice: Traduisez les phrases suivantes:
- J'ai raté l'émission que j'adore.
- Tu as raté l'émission qui joue à sept heures.
- Nous avons raté l'émission dont Jean-Claude a parlé si passionnement.
- Vous regardez le feuilleton dont la vedette est français?
- Mes amis regardent le feuilleton qui ne m'interesse pas.
- Papa a regardé un feuilleton que les enfants détestent.
- The news program has a newscaster (m) whom we adore.
- The sports program has a host (f) who is red-haired and smart.
- The documentary has a host (m) whose elephants are famous.
- I listened to a rap artist whose car cost a million euros.
- We listened to a blues singer who lives in Louisiana.
- Bob found the techno CD that his parents bought in Bordeaux.
