Shortened Period! 11:30–12:45!

DUE: Les Devoirs! New Vocab! List 2.1, p. 75 (also shown on pp. 44-46)
  • Write each job once; then write a sentence (en français!!!) about a person who does that job.
  • Par exemple: "Un professeur de français: il aime les élèves et les verbes!"
  • Write other verbs/phrases in vocab list four times.
  • Don't forget the jobs listed on p. 46!
[30 minutes] More Presentations (as many as fit in this time frame!)

[20 minutes] Vocab 2.1 Practice!
  • Everyone reads job sentences out loud! CAH offers questions wherever possible.
  • Practice with p. 46 Exs. 2 & 3
  • Vocab 2.1 Quiz next week, Wed. Oct. 10!
[20 minutes] Grammar Review: Future Tense! (p. 48)
  • Recall the basic formula: infinitive plus -ai/-as/-a/-ons/-ez/-ont
  • Note that -re verbs drop -e first.
  • Endings never change, but some verbs have irregular future stems:

  10. The weather's nice today, but tomorrow it will be cold.

  12. No, I will go to Stanford.
