DUE: Les Devoirs! Write three original dialogs (minimum four sentences each), one in which you tell someone you need something and ask to borrow it, two in which you are shopping for school supplies. Use the phrases we went over today on pp. 126–127!

{15 minutes} Notes on French Club, French trip meeting, 2012-2013 calendar

{20 minutes} Oral Warm-up: Present dialogues out loud!

• Pick a partner.
• Pick a dialogue from one of your papers.
• Practice it out loud five times.
• Present that dialogue in front of the class!

{10 minutes} Vocab Phrase Review:

• Do p. 127, Exercise 23, in class. Write out all sentences with your responses!

{15 minutes} New verb conjugation: préférer & acheter! p. 128

• regular -er conjugation, but with -è- in all three singular forms and the third person plural:

je préfère	nous préférons
tu préfères	vous préférez
il préfère	ils préfèrent
j'achète	nous achetons
tu achètes	vous achetez
elle achète	elles achètent

• Practice with p. 129, ex. 28: students write on paper, read sentence out loud

Les Devoirs:

1. p. 128 Ex. 27: Write out the entire exercise, include every accent mark.
2. Study for Vocab Quiz 4.2 over school supplies, colors, and numbers (be ready for multiplication!) on Tuesday, January 31.
